How does a beacon get allocated between a warehouse and a truck when the truck is at the warehouse?

We are using a buffer that keeps your numbers straight, avoids double-counting, and avoids manual reconciliation and inventory headaches.

How we designed the system:

  • Staying Put: As long as the truck is inside the warehouse zone plus a 200-foot buffer, everything loaded on it counts toward the warehouse's inventory pool.
  • Automatic Hand-off: Once the truck crosses that outer line, the system automatically shifts the gear over to the truck's mobile inventory.
  • No More Bouncing: By requiring a clear distance before flipping status, we stop the system from spamming notifications or messing up counts every time a driver shunts a trailer around the yard or parks right on the edge.

This gives the best inventory available to be deployed.
